Limón sits tucked inside a working lemon grove at Costa Palmas, an open-air Baja restaurant where the trees, the breeze and the scent of citrus are part of every dinner.

Prime Baja cuts, day-boat seafood and seasonal vegetables meet a glowing charcoal grill in our open-air kitchen, where time-honoured techniques bring smoke, char and Mexican flavour to every plate.

Pasta is rolled, cut and dried by hand each day in the Limón kitchen, and then finished over flame with farm-to-table produce from the Costa Palmas gardens just steps from the table.

Dinner begins as the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains turn pink and gold over Baja California Sur, with the entire restaurant facing west toward the mountain range for an unbroken sunset view.

Arrive early for an aperitif at the open-air lounge, where low-slung chairs gather around a fire pit beneath the lemon trees and the bar pours pre-dinner cocktails from 5:00 pm.

The Limón bar curates a deep list of Mexican spirits, with small-batch tequilas, single-village mezcals and Baja-grown wines chosen to pair with the grill and the garden menu.
