Local Tips
A variety of whale species pass through the Sea of Cortez from December to March, while whale sharks gather in La Paz Bay across the same winter months. Book both excursions early in your stay so there is room to move them if the weather turns.
Zest seats a single table of up to 12, and the omakase sushi bar at El Puesto is just as limited. Reserve those, plus any Oasis Spa treatments, before you travel rather than on arrival day.
Cabo Pulmo is 45 minutes from our Resort by car, and the water is clearest and calmest in the morning. Go early, and then keep the afternoon free for the beach.
Winter brings pleasant daytime temperatures, though north winds that make the East Cape world-class for kite surfing can create cool evenings on the water. Scattered rain showers are possible, so pack a light layer for boat trips and al fresco dinners.
