The diversity of Hawaii Island provides an ideal environment for growing a variety of indigenous produce and ingredients. The island is home to hundreds of small farms and gardens, producing the unique flavors that inspire professional chefs and home cooks alike. Executive Chef Thomas Bellec invites guests to join him on a tour of the Resort's gardens and ponds as he harvests the freshest ingredients for a Hawaiian feast. Guests will learn new techniques, cook alongside the tenured Four Seasons chef and be able to enjoy these delectable creations.
Embark on a journey to our nearby salt flats with a cultural ambassador, where you will learn how ancient Hawaiians harvested salt decades ago. You will then be led through a private, interactive cooking class with a member of our culinary team, who will incorporate Hawaiian salt into the dishes and further explain the ways it was traditionally used in Hawaiian cooking. The salts are also used in the Salts of the Ocean body treatment at the Hualalai Spa.

HAWAII ISLAND COFFEE FARM TOUR AND TASTING
Explore the area south of our island, home to the world-renowned Kona Coffee, where you will experience a private journey through a local coffee farm. Meet the farmer and learn the artisanal methods of coffee farming, and what makes Kona Coffee one of the best coffee regions in the world. After your tour, come back to the Resort for a tasting, where our resident coffee expert will guide you through the flavors of the Island. This tasting includes paired petit fours prepared by our Executive Pastry Chef.
SUNRISE TOUR OF MAUNA KEA
Experience an exclusive tour of the tallest island mountain peak in the world, Mauna Kea. You will be picked up from the Resort and driven to the "White Mountain", a dormant volcano, all the while the most knowledgeable guides on Hawaii Island will share information and stories of astrology, Hawaiian folklore, volcanology, and current news surrounding the volcano. Once at the summit, you will witness the sky evolve from being completely filled with stars to a heavenly sunrise, all above the clouds on Hawaii Island. Throughout the experience you will be offered hot chocolate, coffee and snacks. The tour will end with a delicious breakfast with beautiful Island views.
ECO-TOUR WITH A HUALALAI NATURALIST
Hualalai is filled with unique land forms and marine life. Our Anchialine ponds are so rare, Hawaii is the only state to host these geological formations. Take a tour with one of our naturalists and explore the ecological and natural history of Hualalai, and the beautiful landforms that form the Hawaiian Islands. Our Naturalist will customize your tour to your interests and provide an in-depth exploration of King's Pond, home of over 90 species of fish. Another favourite location with ancient Hawaiian history is the Waiakauhi Fish Pond, where our team of Naturalists fish tilapia to maintain the balance of the ecosystem. Four our epicurean guests, your guide will lead you through the intriguing oyster farming process at Hualalai's unique oyster farm, created and maintained by our Natural Resources team.
