Thanksgiving Activities

Luau and Polynesian Show Enjoy authentic Hawaiian fare, tropical cocktails, and hula and fire knife performances at Hoku Amphitheater. Witness the music and dances that tell the story of ancient people, get a glimpse into Hawaii’s history, feel the beating drums of Tahiti, and behold the people of New Zealand and Samoa. The show ends with a Samoan fire knife dance.

Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet Set at the beautiful oceanfront Beach Tree restaurant, enjoy a delicious array of your favourite traditional Thanksgiving dishes and accompaniments. Advanced reservations required.
Turkey Trot Build up an appetite this holiday and join us for our annual Turkey Trot. The 5K run or walk takes place around our Resort, starting and finishing at the Spa. Gobbleware is highly encouraged! Complimentary.

Alaka‘i Nui Private Charters A 46-foot catamaran, aptly named Alaka‘i Nui (great leader) is the newest addition to our ocean activities team. The vessel offers you the opportunity to create your own custom ocean adventure, exploring the pristine waters and abundant marine life off of the famed Kona Kohala coast. Enjoy exciting activities such as deep-sea fishing and scuba diving, plus exploration of additional snorkelling locations along the coast.
Tide Pool Tour Explore this fascinating habitat alongside a Resort Marine Scientist and get to know the many unusual creatures that inhabit this world. Get up close and personal with sea cucumber, hermit crabs and much more.

Camp Manitou

Designed for children ages 9 to 17, Camp Manitou features programs and staff focused on group bonding through cultural, recreational and exploration activities, both on site and throughout the island. Visit secret beaches, explore lava tubes and waterfalls, snorkel at Kealakekua Bay and stargaze at Mauna Kea.

Kids For All Seasons

Our complimentary kids program for children ages 5 to 12 offers a variety of activities for young guests to enjoy. The program runs daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Art Classes

We have a wonderful lineup of fun, creative and artistic poolside classes to make arts and crafts. Activities include ceramics, tie-dye, gyotaku, dream catchers, henna tattoos and hat customizing. Fees apply.

Movie Under the Stars

Join us at the Hoku Amphitheater for an evening under the starlit Hawaiian sky. For your convenience, a concession stand offers hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, and a variety of drinks and candy. The movie is complimentary for all guests.

Theme Nights

Kids ages 5 to 12 can enjoy theme nights such as Game Night, KFAS After Dark and Hualalai Bake-Off. The fee includes dinner, supervision and the themed activity.

Santa’s Visit

Gather family and friends on Christmas Eve morning, and join our Kids For All Seasons team for arts and crafts, balloons and an appearance from Santa Claus.

Qualified nannies are available on the island through a licensed referral agency so that you can enjoy a night off or a daytime activity. Contact our Concierge for assistance.
