Kyoto is one of Japan’s best-preserved historic cities, with intact palaces, gardens and hundreds of Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines from Imperial Japan’s golden age, balanced by a modern edge of culinary excellence, technology and a forward-looking art and design scene. Our Hotel, at the foot of a mountain in the scenic Higashiyama temple district, puts you just 10 minutes from bustling downtown Kyoto, with many of the city’s most scenic sites just a short walk away. Want to take a quick ride on a bullet train to Tokyo? Kyoto Station, the biggest train hub in the city, is just a quick seven-minute drive from our doors.
