The week will kick-off with a Taste of Hualalai welcome event, featuring a curated line-up of chefs including James Beard Award semi-finalist Chef Bao Tran of Honolulu’s Giovedi; two-time James Beard Award semi-finalist Chef Brian Hirata of the pop-up series Na’au Hilo; Chef Anthony Rush, co-founder of the Honolulu restaurants Senia and Podmore; celebrity chef, Top Chef Masters champion and James Beard Award nominee Chris Cosentino; and celebrated local chef and “Godfather of Poké” Sam Choy. Darioush Winery will present a selection of its distinguished Napa Valley wines.

DAY – LONGEST GOLF DRIVE COMPETITION, LEI MAKING AND KUMU KAI EDUCATIONAL SESSION
Activities around the Resort include a morning Hualalai Golf Course Longest Drive Hole-in-One competition, all-day anniversary lei making event at the Cultural Center and special edition Kumu Kai Marine Education session.
AFTERNOON – MIXOLOGY CLASS
Shake, stir and sample with the help of Kevin Diedrich, a James Beard Award-winning mixologist, who will teach you new recipes and expert techniques while helping you craft your very own signature cocktails. Fees apply.
EVENING – LEGACY DINNER
In the evening, Hualalai’s culinary team will be joined by the executive chefs from Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina and Four Seasons Resort Lanai for a multi-course seated dinner at ’ULU. This dinner offers guests a rare opportunity to experience the collective talents of acclaimed culinary teams at Four Seasons from across the Hawaii collection. Far Niente Wine Estates will showcase a selection of Napa Valley wines throughout the dining experience.

DAY – TENNIS, HISTORY AND OUTRIGGER CANOE PADDLING
The weekend continues with a complimentary tennis clinic by Hualalai tennis pros, followed with signature Trading Company smoothies and juices. A discussion on the history of Kaʻūpulehu will take place at the Cultural Center for those interested in the immense cultural significance of the land and our leaders of the water, Alakai Nalu, will conduct complimentary 30-minute morning guided outrigger paddle tours.
