- YAKUSUGI FOREST RENEWAL
Designed by the spa team at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, the signature well-being ritual draws inspiration from yakusugi – centuries-old Japanese cedars. Famed for their resiliency, these trees grow in the forests of Yakushima, a beloved spot for shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). The Spa uses sustainably-sourced yakusugi products harvested from fallen pieces of wood.Learn more

Self-Meditation JourneyBook a stay in a room with a balcony and receive Zazen self-meditation kits upon request. Designed by a Zen monk from Kennin-ji Temple in Gion, each kit contains within it a journey of serenity. Begin by lighting the natural incense stick from Shoyeido, a traditional incense-maker based in Kyoto. Allow the fragrance of green grass to gently refresh your spirit, then ring the orin bell three times to calm the mind with its clear tones.
