    Join us in raising a glass to the craftsmanship of Napa Valley with Auro’s monthly Wednesday Wine Dinner Series. From June to October, experience a seven-course prix fixe menu prepared by Executive Chef Rogelio Garcia, highlighting an expert pairing of experimental and complex wines from a variety of wine partners, including Staglin Family, Realm Cellars, Dana Estates, Chris Carpenter Wines and Hundred Acre Wines.

Meet the Team

Derek Stevenson

Sommelier
Derek Stevenson seeks to discover the great wines of California, particularly the greater Napa Valley area, with a special focus on the Calistoga region to support the community and celebrate the talented individuals who have invested their life’s work in the dynamic wine industry. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park, Stevenson brings a food-first philosophy to wine pairing, a perspective that helped earn Auro its first Michelin star in 2023. Certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers at age 23, Stevenson has since transitioned to the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), where he is currently pursuing Diploma-level certification. Under his guidance, Wine Spectator recognized Auro with a Best of Award of Excellence in 2025 for the third consecutive year. Known for making wine approachable without sacrificing sophistication, Stevenson believes the story behind a vintage is as essential as what's in the glass.
