Michelin-Starred New Year’s Eve and Speakeasy Champagne Countdown at AuroBid farewell to 2023 and welcome 2024 at wine country’s latest Michelin-starred dining destination with an exclusive six-course prix fixe menu curated by the acclaimed Executive Chef Rogelio Garcia. Continue the celebration at our secret speakeasy afterparty featuring live entertainment, exclusive New Year’s Eve cocktails and a champagne countdown. Available December 31, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Must be 21 years or older to join this experience.
Rogelio GarciaExecutive Chef, Auro and TRUSS Restaurant + Bar
Rogelio Garcia helms the kitchen of Auro, as well as oversees the talented team of chefs and adds his culinary touch to TRUSS Restaurant + Bar. Auro received a coveted Michelin Star under the helm of Garcia and his team in the 2023 Michelin Guide California. Born in Mexico City and raised in Los Angeles and Napa, Garcia held positions in some of wine country’s most respected Michelin-starred restaurants, from Cyrus to The French Laundry. Following his time in wine country, Garcia set forth to San Francisco where he earned Michelin stars of his own in 2018 and 2019 at Spruce. Garcia is an alumnus of Bravo’s Top Chef Season 15 and author of an upcoming cookbook, Convivir: Modern Mexican Cooking in California’s Wine Country.
Elijah CortezChef de Cuisine, Auro and TRUSS Restaurant + Bar
Elijah Cortez supports all areas of the kitchen including development of the seasonally changing menus, supporting relationships with purveyors and preparing daily meals for Resort guests and visitors alike. Prior to his current role in Calistoga, Elijah worked at acclaimed restaurants throughout the Bay Area with Chef Rogelio Garcia. Before that, he held positions at award-winning restaurants Murray Circle Sausalito and Dixie in the Presidio. Born in Stockton, California, Elijah started cooking at a very young and was moved by talents such as Anthony Bourdain and Daniel Boulud, who covered so many diverse cultures and cuisines in their respective shows.
Derek Stevenson seeks to discover the great wines of California, particularly the greater Napa Valley area, with a special focus on the Calistoga region to support the community and celebrate the talented individuals who have invested their life’s work in the dynamic wine industry. Originally from New Holstein, Wisconsin, Stevenson, at 23 years old, became a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers. Stevenson has now switched to the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), where he is currently participating in Diploma-level testing. Under his guidance, Wine Spectator recognized Auro with a Best of Award of Excellence in 2023.
