Surfing Champions Trophy
Mark Richards, Mark Occhilupo, Tom Curren, Tom Carroll, Taylor Knox, Layne Bleachley, Damian Hardman, Nat Young. Just some of the greats who have graced Kuda Huraa’s pristine shores and surrounding world-class breaks as contestants in the annual Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy: the world’s most luxurious surfing contest, organised in conjunction with luxury surf pioneers, Tropicsurf at Four Seasons Resort Kuda Huraa since 2011.
Boutique and invitation-only, the contest sees six world champions battle it out across three separate divisions: classic early ’70s single-fins, stylish twin-fins, and contemporary triple-fin thrusters.
The build-up to the event also includes the Four Seasons Maldives Domestic Champions Trophy, where the best local talent attempt to upstage the pros with their ‘home wave’ knowledge and maverick next generation skills. Both events are hosted aboard the luxury Four Seasons Explorer, the Maldives’ ultimate surf vessel. Spectators get to stay at Kuda Huraa with the competitors and judges for an incredible inner-circle surfing lifestyle experience, while exclusive Four Seasons Explorer day-passes enable fans to get up close and personal with all the action as it unfolds.
Four Seasons Surfing Champions Trophy 2017 takes place at Kuda Huraa from August 7 through 13, 2017. For more information, visit the website or contact Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa by telephone: (960) 664-4888.
