- The Hotel is certified as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold by the US Green Building Council.
- The Hotel is certified to Green Key International, a third-party certification program for hospitality properties.
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available for guest use.
- EVs are available for guest transportation.
- The Hotel measures and tracks energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generation through the Four Seasons global utility management system.
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items are available.
- Linens and towels are replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested.
- Guest room controls and building systems support optimizing energy consumption throughout the property.
- Building systems and fixtures support optimizing water consumption throughout the property.
- Single-use plastics, including water bottles, bathroom amenities and takeaway food packaging, have been removed or replaced with non-plastic alternatives.
- A recycling program is in place.
- Organic waste is diverted from landfill.
- Seasonal menu items are available, including ingredients sourced from local suppliers at Dani Brasserie, Isa Restaurant & Cocktail Bar and El Patio.
- The Hotel serves cage-free eggs.
- A food waste reduction program is in place, including AI-enabled tools to identify, monitor and reduce food waste.
- Surplus food is donated to the local community through the Altius Foundation.
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites Toledo and Segovia and world-class art museums such as Museo del Prado, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia.
- Linen, furniture and equipment are donated to the local community.
- Reflecting the Hotel’s historic architecture are reproductions of classic plasters from Madrid’s legendary Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- The Hotel supports employment opportunities for young people, individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of social exclusion, and individuals with intellectual disabilities through collaborations with organizations including Pinardi Social Federation, HOGAR SÍ, Prodis Foundation, Down Madrid, A LA PAR Foundation and Tomillo Foundation.
- Employees volunteer in the local community through local charitable organizations, including UNINICIO, the National Association for Down Syndrome, HOGAR SÍ, Prodis Foundation, Pinardi Federation, Fundacion a La Par, TaxiLuz and community social centres.
- The Hotel prioritizes sourcing from suppliers that meet our environmental and social procurement criteria as outlined in our Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy.
- The retail boutique in The Spa offers wellness products, bags, jewellery and bathing apparel created by Spanish businesses.
