- Awarded OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) Star in 2018 and WELL Health-Safety Rating in 2022 and 2023 from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) for exemplary worksite health and safety
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations available for guest use
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items available
- Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Water-conserving showers and faucets
- Water-efficient landscaping
- Cardboard and paper recycling program in place
- Refillable glass water bottles in guest rooms

- Local biodiversity support program in place, including annual participation in Richard Sandoval Hospitality’s Spring Viva Abejas (Long Live Bees) culinary campaign at our restaurant Toro Toro, celebrating the significance of bees to the food cycle, with a portion of proceeds being donated to the Help Save the Bees Foundation
- Employees volunteer in the local community through Camp H-Town, a free annual program hosted by our Hotel in collaboration with the University of Texas MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital, where children touched by cancer experience an urban sleepaway camp
- Annual participation in Houston Restaurant Weeks through our restaurants Bayou & Bottle and Toro Toro in benefit of the Houston Food Bank, the largest food bank in the United States
- Excess food donated to the local community through Second Servings Houston
- Clothing and other wardrobe items donated to the local community through our partnership with Giving Bag, where guests can leave behind gently used items for local communities in a canvas tote located in their hotel room closet
- Local artists and artisans featured throughout our Hotel, including works by sculptors, painters and photographers
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community, including a street art tour to learn about Houston’s vibrant street art scene
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
