Elevated Luxury in Your Own Mountaintop Hideaway

  • Snowy French Alps mountains over trees

  • Ideal Suite lodge with modern white sofa, armchairs and long rustic wood dining table

A stay in Suite Idéal gives you first access to fresh snow, dramatic views and a tailored dinner prepared by a two-Michelin-starred chef.

Carve out your own path in fresh-fallen snow – and time to make indelible memories with loved ones – with a stay in Suite Idéal. Your chalet-style mountaintop hideaway sits at 1,850 metres (6,070 feet), in a secluded location accessible only by ski lift or snowmobile. Upon your evening arrival, after the lifts have closed for the day, Four Seasons transports you to your serene 100-square-metre (1,076-square-foot) suite by Polaris snowmobile. (Or arrive during the day to take the lift and ski directly to your accommodations – the highest in Megève.) In the master bathroom, unwind under the therapeutic coloured LED lights of the chromotherapy hammam shower, and emerge refreshed and ready to enjoy the suite’s living spaces, glowing fireplace and surrounding panorama. Tonight, the mountain belongs to you and your family.

At first light, take in 360-degree views of the Mont Blanc and Aravis mountain ranges, and step out into nature’s pristine beauty as it glistens in the morning sun. Your position on the mountaintop gives you first access to the slopes. Glide down at dawn with local ski patrol teams to begin a full day of snow activities: skiing, snowmobiling, snowcat rides and torchlit sunset descents.

Return to your luxurious refuge for an exclusive gourmet dinner of traditional French and modern dishes prepared by Chef Julien Gatillon of the two-Michelin-star restaurant Le 1920. The menu showcases the finest local ingredients, including products sourced from the Rothschild family farms and vineyards, and will be tailored just for you. Perhaps some Japanese classics incorporating local Alpine produce? Gatillon serves as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Megève, overseeing culinary operations and menu creation for the Hotel’s dining and drinking venues – including Megève’s first Japanese restaurant, Kaito, offering a pan-Asian fusion menu.

This Alpine experience includes access to Four Seasons Hotel Megève facilities and amenities as well as its sister property Les Chalets du Mont d'Arbois. Suite Idéal will be refurbished during summer of 2020 and will offer full service in winter of 2020.
