Local Tips
The Seychelles is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit depends on what you’re after. April to May and October to November bring the calmest seas, perfect for snorkelling and helicopter tours. June to September brings southeast trade winds, best for surfing and kitesurfing. Our concierge team can help you plan around your travel dates.
Helicopter is the fastest way to reach Praslin and La Digue islands. Scheduled inter-island flights and ferries are also available. We recommend booking helicopter transfers in peak season, October to April, well in advance. To visit our sister resort on Desroches Island, a scenic 35‑minute domestic flight departs daily from Mahé.
Mahé International Airport is a 35-minute drive from our Resort, so plan to ease into your first afternoon with a poolside swim or villa relaxation. Our team can arrange transfers in advance.
Light layers, swimwear and reef-safe sunscreen are essentials. Daytime temperatures sit from 24 to 31 degrees C (75 to 87 F) year round. Bring a light cover-up for evening dining and water shoes if you plan to explore the granite-framed beaches. Formalwear is rarely required; even at Koi or Kannel, smart casual is the norm.
