Sous Chef

Born in Nogales, Mexico, Samantha spent her childhood watching her grandfather make fresh tortillas in their family restaurant. After culinary school and travel through France, she was inspired by Arizona’s bounty to create the elevated, innovative dishes at Talavera.

“There were no PB & Js when I was a kid, but I tasted everything. I was convinced that the love and hard work that went into every dish was what made everything taste so good. And that’s still true for me today!“
