Aquarium During the southeast trade wind season (May to October), head to Aquarium Beach, where the waves are sheltered from the winds and ideal for beginners, first-time surfers and longboard riders.

Airports During the southeast trade wind season, surf a wave known as Airports, located just off the runway. A short paddle from shore makes it perfect for eager surfers visiting Desroches from May to October. Airports can handle larger swells and, on the best days, offers overhead A-frame waves with quick, fun rides to the left or right.

Sand Patch The wave known as Sand Patch sits in the heart of Bombay Bay at Bombay Beach. With a sandy bottom, it breaks left, right and straight, finishing in deep water in every direction. Sand Patch is the perfect spot to refine your surfing fundamentals before taking on the outer reefs of Desroches.
