Meet the Team

Christina Kaelberer
Executive Pastry ChefOriginally from Minnesota, Christina Kaelberer didn’t set out to become a pastry chef, but she always knew she was drawn to design, detail and a deep sense of curiosity. Inspired early on by her uncle from Jamaica, she let that curiosity ultimately lead her to the kitchen, where she built a career defined by precision, creativity and intention. A recipient of the Charlie Award for Outstanding Pastry Chef, Kaelberer has since turned her focus to the unique flavours of the desert, drawing inspiration from ingredients such as mesquite honey, mole, citrus and wild herbs.

Gregory James
Executive ChefInspired by people, place and purpose, Executive Chef Gregory James’ cooking philosophy is centred on telling the story of where you are. He discovered his love for food the moment he stepped into a professional kitchen at age 15, and has since been drawn to ingredients that are local and deeply rooted in a sense of place. His cuisine reflects how people have lived, cooked and gathered in the Sonoran Desert over time. Grounded in authenticity and driven by more than technique alone, Chef James ensures his cuisine gives voice to the land while expressing his passion for leadership, hospitality and cooking.
