Your 3-Day Itinerary
Follow this itinerary to explore the history, culture and cityscapes of Milan through experiences curated by Four Seasons.
Day 1: High Fashion in the Quadrilateral & Hidden Boutiques

Morning: The Uncrowded Boutiques
Begin your stay by stepping directly onto Via Gesù and into the Golden Quadrilateral. With prestigious neighbours along Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga, browse the latest collections and enjoy the famous summer sales before the midday crowds descend. Our concierge team can arrange private after-hours boutique appointments or personal shopper experiences for the ultimate fashion getaway.

Afternoon: The Heat Escape
Retreat from the afternoon warmth to our Hotel’s 15th-century cloistered courtyard for a light, refreshing lunch at Zelo. Afterwards, experience the ultimate cool-down in our luxury Spa, housed within the convent’s historic vaulted wine cellar.

Evening: Duomo & Galleria at Dusk
Visit the iconic Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II when the sun is lower, the temperature drops and the lighting is perfect for photography.
Day 2: Renaissance Masterpieces & Historic Neighbouring Towns

Morning: “The Last Supper” & Brera District
Dedicate your morning to high culture. Secure early access to Santa Maria delle Grazie to marvel at Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” without the rush. Follow this with a leisurely stroll through the cobblestone streets of the Brera design district. Tickets to “The Last Supper” routinely sell out months in advance, but our Concierge has the local expertise to assist guests in securing access or arranging private guided tours.

Afternoon: Exploring Beyond the City Limits
While Milan’s museums are exceptional, the surrounding region is steeped in history. Spend your afternoon discovering the medieval walls of Bergamo Alta or the royal splendour of Monza.

Evening: Navigli District
End your day with dinner and drinks along the historic Navigli canals. This vibrant district offers a genuine taste of traditional Milanese nightlife, where you can watch the sunset reflect off the water while enjoying a classic aperitivo.

Day 3: Alpine Breezes: The Northern Italian Lakes

Morning to Afternoon: The Ultimate Day Trip
Trade the city for the alpine breezes of Lake Como, Lake Maggiore or Lake Garda. Enjoy the breathtaking waterfronts and picturesque villages by day, knowing you can easily escape the busy lake shores and return to the quiet private courtyard at Four Seasons Hotel Milano by the afternoon. Let us arrange a private driver to the lakes and secure a classic wooden Riva boat for a private afternoon cruise.

Evening: Retreat to the City
Return to the cool sanctuary of our Four Seasons hotel for an intimate sunset aperitivo at Stilla Garden.

Yes, the dress code is strictly enforced by guards at the Duomo’s entrance. Both men and women must have their shoulders and knees covered to enter the cathedral.
For high-end restaurants, historic trattorias in Brera or prime tables by the Navigli canals, reservations are required. Let our concierge team handle these bookings for you prior to your arrival.
The historic centre of Milan is easily walkable. Four Seasons Hotel Milano is located in the Golden Quadrilateral, so you are only a 10-minute walk from the Duomo, the Galleria and the Brera district. To reach the Navigli canals in the evening or “The Last Supper” (Santa Maria delle Grazie), we recommend taking a short taxi ride or requesting one of our drivers.
Lake Como is the nearest lake at just 50 to 60 minutes away by private car or direct train. Lake Maggiore and Lake Garda are slightly farther away but are still easily accessible within 90 minutes to two hours, making them ideal for luxurious day trips and making Milan the perfect base camp for exploring the region.
We highly recommend Bergamo Alta for its stunning medieval architecture, Monza for its royal palace and gardens, and Parma for an unforgettable dining experience. The Lombardy region is surrounded by incredible historic gems that our Concierge would be happy to guide you through.
From June to August, as locals head to the Italian coast, Milan transforms into a tranquil, exclusive oasis. Enjoy uncrowded high-end shopping, easy restaurant reservations and the perfect excuse to visit our Hotel’s shaded courtyard and indoor lap pool to escape the midday heat. From September to November and March to May, walk through the Brera district and take day trips to surrounding towns for regional gastronomy and wine harvests. From December to February, walk under the holiday lights of the Galleria, complete your luxury winter shopping and attend the prestigious opening night at La Scala. Return to our Hotel to warm up by the roaring fireplaces at our Camino lounge.
