Visit the legendary designer’s private home to see how Marrakech influenced his life and work – then sit down to a dinner inspired by his Moroccan motifs.
“Before Marrakech, everything was black,” Yves Saint Laurent once said. “This city taught me colour – I embraced its light, its bold contrasts and its vibrant inspirations. It was through discovering Morocco that I understood my own chromatic language and found its echo in the Moroccan caftan, zellige, traditional motifs and jellaba.”
Through a private visit of the Moroccan residence Saint Laurent shared with Pierre Bergé, you’ll discover the books, artworks, objects and decorative pieces carefully selected by the designer to fuel his inspiration while working.
The visit continues at the Jardin Majorelle, a true oasis filled with rare plants and striking architectural forms, where deep blues and vivid yellows pay tribute both to its original creator, painter Jacques Majorelle, and to Saint Laurent himself.
You’ll then proceed to the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech for a guided visit. Behind its terracotta façade, the contemporary space houses a rotating collection of 200 haute couture pieces from the designer’s archives, alongside an extensive library dedicated to fashion, Saint Laurent’s work and Moroccan culture.
Back at the Resort, a tailor-made menu will be offered, inspired by the colours, textures and shapes that defined Saint Laurent’s creative universe in Marrakech. Designed by our chefs, this personalized dinner will be accompanied by a selection of Moroccan wines.
