An expert in his craft, Philippe Caillouet brings more than four decades of hospitality experience to his role as Cheesemonger at Café Boulud Riyadh. Hailing from Poitiers, France, Caillouet’s journey has taken him through Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury hotels and acclaimed fromageries across Europe and the Middle East. Named a Meilleur Ouvrier de France “Maître du Service et des Arts de la Table,” he is recognized for his deep knowledge of cheese and refined service style. At Café Boulud, Caillouet curates a rotating library of more than 60 artisanal cheeses sourced from producers he’s known for years. With a sommelier’s eye for pairing and a teacher’s passion for sharing knowledge, he guides guests through an immersive cheese-tasting experience, thoughtfully pairing selections with cold cuts, beverages and seasonal accompaniments.
