- The Hotel has been awarded 5 Keys from Green Key Global, a third-party certification program for hospitality properties.
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available for guest use.
- The Hotel measures and tracks energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generation through the Four Seasons global utility management system.
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items are available.
- Linens and towels are replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested.
- The Hotel's pool uses salt technology as an alternative to chlorine.
- Building systems and fixtures support optimizing energy and water consumption throughout the property.
- Gardening practices are designed to optimize water use, including through water-efficient xeriscaping and drought-resistant native plants and flowers.
- Single-use plastics, including water bottles, bathroom amenities and takeaway food packaging, have been removed or replaced with non-plastic alternatives.
- A recycling program is in place.
- Organic waste is diverted from landfill.
- Soaps and toiletries are recycled and donated to those in need through a local nonprofit.
- Excess food is donated to the local community through the Central Texas Food Bank.
- Cooking oil is recycled into biofuel by a third-party provider.
- Damaged linens and towels are upcycled to reduce waste to landfill.
- Seasonal menu items are available, including ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
- The Hotel serves cage-free eggs.
- A food waste reduction program is in place, including AI-enabled tools to identify, monitor and reduce food waste.
- The Hotel supports local biodiversity and conservation efforts, including annual participation in Richard Sandoval Hospitality's Viva Abejas (Long Live the Bees) culinary campaign at Ciclo Restaurant, celebrating the significance of bees to the food cycle, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the World Bee Project.
- The Hotel partners with Free Range Beehives and Two Hives Honey to maintain on-site bee apiaries.
- The Hotel hosts periodic park and Lady Bird Lake cleanups open to guests and employees.
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community.
- Local artists and artisans are featured throughout our Hotel, including works from Austin-based creators and live musical performances in the Live Music Capital of the World.
- Employees volunteer in the local community and work collectively to raise funds and support local charitable initiatives including Dell Children’s Foundation, The Trail Conservancy and the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, which helps provide affordable health insurance to local musicians.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- The Hotel prioritizes sourcing from suppliers that meet our environmental and social procurement criteria.
- The Spa features retail products from Texas-based creators.
