Chef and international restaurateur Daniel Boulud's Café Boulud showcases the intersection of contemporary and classic French cuisine in this casual Toronto restaurant. Menus are guided by the most exceptional ingredients, the vibrant, global influences of Toronto, and the innovation and expertise of this Michelin-starred culinary great. The bright, loft-like restaurant, located on the corner of Yorkville Avenue and Bay Street, is suspended above a street-level bar and lounge, and includes a private dining room for up to 10 guests.

Choosing from a menu inspired by Chef Daniel Boulud's four culinary muses – la tradition, classic French cuisine; la saison, seasonal delicacies; le potager, the vegetable garden; and le voyage, exploring the flavours of international cuisines – guests of Café Boulud are encouraged to mix and match as they please. The café also offers a series of dishes that sweep the shores of the Mediterranean for inspiration, from France's Côte d'Azur to Spain, Italy, Greece, North Africa and beyond, with an emphasis on lighter, olive oil-based cooking. A prix-fixe menu is perfectly suited to business lunches.

Wine

Created by Wine Director Drew Walker, Café Boulud's 350-label wine program showcases the long history of European food and wine culture, highlighting all of the classic French appellations as well as spotlighting the re-energized South of France. Providing guests an opportunity to try something new and memorable and enhance their knowledge of world wines, the wine list touches on all the major wine-growing regions of the world, including offerings from many lesser-known but exciting wine producers along the Mediterranean. Classic wine regions in Italy, California, Australia, New Zealand and Canada are also well represented, and the wine program draws inspiration from the local Ontario wine industry, in which many smaller, quality-focused winemakers are producing vintages that wonderfully complement Chef Daniel Boulud’s nuanced approach to cuisine.
