First created by a Dutch doctor in the mid-16th century, gin was originally used as a real “tonic” – a treatment for ailments such as kidney and stomach troubles. Production soon spread through countries such as England, Spain, Germany and Scotland, creating the diversity of gins the world enjoys today. At Four Seasons Hotel Milano’s Il Foyer lounge, you’ll find a gin and tonic beverage to suit your every mood. Il Foyer Bar is pleased to offer guests a selection of 10 beverages, created by our mixologist Luca, featuring only the finest gin and tonic-water labels. Our innovative drinks are adorned with wild strawberries, thyme twigs and other surprising ingredients.
Il Foyer lounge in Milan is the Hotel’s relaxed and elegant lounge, offering light hors d’oeuvres, snacks, desserts and cocktails. Next to the Foyer Bar, where the convent’s church stood over 500 years ago, the Camino walls are adorned with a collection of sketches that Filippo Peroni, a famed opera set designer and costumer of the nineteenth, made for Teatro Alla Scala. In the winter, a glowing fire creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy piano entertainment Monday to Saturday, from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
