The Destination
The Maldives 1,190 islands comprise less than one percent of the nation’s total size. With the remaining 99 percent covered by the pristine turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, the country is ideally experienced by boat: tiny hideaway islands, vibrant traditional villages, pristine reefs, frolicking marine life, remote beaches and dive sites renowned for mantas and whale sharks. Please note that “local time” refers to nearby Malé, which is GMT +5; Explorer operates on GMT +6.
