Cooking School

Learn the secrets of Indonesian, Balinese and Italian cuisine and become the master chef of your household. Our on-site Cooking School offers classes designed to appeal to novice and experienced cooks alike, as well as a weekly pastry class for kids.

Facilities

Housed in its own building, the Cooking School features a stone-paved courtyard and garden that welcome you into the kitchen via enormous glass doors. The air-conditioned kitchen features gleaming state-of-the-art appliances and a large, kidney-shaped, black granite preparation unit with induction hot plates. Students sample their creations in the adjacent dining area or shaded entry courtyard. A pantry offers related items for sale.

Balinese cuisine

(Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays)
After an optional market tour at 8:00 am, participants will gather at 9:30 am in the cooking school kitchen to create authentic Balinese dishes to be savoured at lunchtime.

Italian cuisine

(Thursdays)
After an optional market tour at 8.00 am, participants will gather in the cooking school at 9.30 am for a light breakfast. Designed to unlock the secrets of authentic Italian cuisine's rustic yet refined flavours, this class includes lunch from the menu cooked, a commemorative certificate, an apron and a recipe booklet.

After an optional market tour at 8:00 am, participants will gather in the cooking school kitchen at 9:30 am to prepare and enjoy an Indonesian lunch.

Pastry Class

(Wednesdays – Complimentary)
Under the guidance of our experienced pastry chef, kids will learn some excellent life skills in a fun, educational environment. Book through the Concierge or our kids and teens clubs.
