Inclusive Camp Highlights
The adventure of a lifetime…in a land of legendary intrigue and natural wonders.
Discover the marvels of Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, hidden within an exotic bamboo jungle at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong rivers.
The Tented Camp is the first all-inclusive Resort for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. The Camp offers two-, three- and four-night packages that include a comprehensive list of activities for great natural wildlife holidays.
Get up close and personal with an elephant in its own home—the lush jungle. Take an excursion to colourful local markets and temples, or trek to a nearby hill tribe. Absorb the tropical tranquillity with an open-air massage among the treetops. Like at a safari camp, the ability to share these unforgettable experiences with fellow guests is an essential part of Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle.
Elephant Mahout Training
Interact and get comfortable with these gentle giants in their own natural habitat.
The Four Seasons camp has its own Asian elephants, with training taught by a team of experienced mahouts. As you learn to interact with these magnificent animals, you will discover the unique personality of your elephant, which can range from the brightly curious to the gently mischievous. Then, embark on an exploration of the jungle wilderness, wherein you guide your elephant with your newly acquired skills! Your elephant’s mahout will be by your side the entire time. Guests who are interested in the customary daybreak ritual are invited to join the mahouts as they bathe the elephants in the river or pond, getting them ready for trekking.
Spending time with these kind, majestic creatures leaves a lasting impression on everyone—yet, each guest’s experience is different. For some, it is an incredible adventure; for others, the interaction is spiritual and transformative; for yet others, it results in unforgettable friendships. We invite you to create your very own elephant experience.
Golden Triangle Excursion
Dive into the local way of life and explore the cultural delights of the region, accompanied by a knowledgeable private guide.
Begin your excursion with a cruise down the majestic Mekong River on-board a traditional, custom-designed longboat. The longboat makes its way to the heart of the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Burma and Laos converge. Take in a spectacular view that encompasses three different countries!
Next, experience the sights and sounds of the Golden Triangle, as you get from one place to another like a local. Hop onto a songtaew, followed by a tuk-tuk, to visit a vibrant local market and a revered ancient temple, Chedi Luang. Your private guide will accompany you throughout the excursion, relating fascinating stories and interesting facts along the way.
Rejuvenate your body and soothe your spirit with ancient wellness rituals in a treetop-fringed spa that redefines luxury.
Our open-air spa lies amidst the leafy bamboo forests of the Golden Triangle, featuring two salas with double treatment rooms, spa beds and a bathtub/shower area. Pamper your world-weary muscles and awaken your senses with our traditional treatment techniques, inspired by the healing powers of mountain plants and local warming spices.
With its rustic design and the use of organic materials, the spa is designed to be in harmony with its natural surroundings. During the 90-minute treatment of your choice, the masterful masseuses will use ancient secrets of wellness to breathe new life into your body and soul.
WINE AND DINE
Enjoy an expedition into Golden Triangle cuisine, spend time with loved ones or socialize with fellow travelers over sundowners, and relax with a quiet drink on your private deck.
Stay at the Camp includes daily scheduled dining, sundowners, as well as minibar amenities. Sample authentic specialties from Thailand, Burma and Laos in the rustic elegance of Nong Yao—or opt for Western-style delights. As you take in the sunset at Burma Bar, swap stories from the day with fellow adventurers, or contemplate life at the border as you gaze at the expanse of Burma, just beyond the Ruak River.
Visit to the Hall of Opium
Travel to a bygone era of the Golden Triangle, a land with a rich and colorful past.
Located close to the very fields where millions of poppies once bloomed, the Hall of Opium museum offers a comprehensive look at the historical opium trade in the region, the characters involved, and the lives of addicts. The darkness of this period in Chiang Rai's history is brought alive through modern interactive displays and multimedia presentations.
The above inclusive activities are based on the Three-Night Adventure Package. For an extra night’s stay, guests can choose one additional activity per night.
Other activities can be arranged with an additional fee. These include jungle trekking, riverbank picnics, cooking classes, opium trade history talks, visits to hill tribes and day trips to Laos and Burma. Our expert team can also organize private dining experiences, including camp peak breakfast, picnic in style, private wine cellar dinner, and elephant camp dinner.
