The Palazzos

Palazzo Della Gherardesca
Palazzo della Gherardesca, built in 1473 by Bartolomeo Scala, embodies Renaissance grandeur. Originally conceived as a tribute to ancient Rome, it evolved under Medici and Della Gherardesca ownership, gaining frescoed ceilings, elegant courtyards and Florence’s largest private garden. Today, it offers historic accommodations such as the Royal Suite, Michelin-starred dining at Il Palagio, signature cocktails at Atrium Bar and relaxation at The Spa. In summer, Al Fresco trattoria serves seasonal delights under the Tuscan sky, continuing Scala’s elegant vision.

Palazzo del Nero
Palazzo del Nero, a 16th-century retreat, blends historic charm with modern luxury across 36 refined rooms and suites. Once home to the Del Nero and Ruspoli families, it later became a convent before transforming into a serene escape. The Presidential Suite features a 19th-century coffered ceiling dedicated to Renaissance virtues, along with state-of-the-art amenities. Just 10 minutes from the Duomo, it offers lush park views, contemporary Mediterranean dining at Onde and creative cocktails at Bar Berni, a Tuscan-inspired vermouth bar. Palazzo del Nero is a refined fusion of history and innovation in the heart of Florence.
