Museums The country's award-winning main museum is housed in the restored Fariq Al Salata palace of Sheikh Abdullah bin Qasim. It dates back to 1901. The museum has a diverse collection of traditional and historic artefacts of Qatar and the region, along with a gallery that traces and records the country's development after the discovery of oil.
