Summer-Fall
The summer and fall seasons provide Vallarta's best diving conditions. Excellent visibility combined with warm water and calm seas make for an enjoyable diving experience. A night dive under the moon's light in October is one of the most unique experiences in the area. Visibility: surface, 9–24 m (30–80 ft.); bottom, 9–24 m (30–80 ft.). Temperature: surface, 29–31ºC (84–87ºF); bottom, 27–28ºC (80–83ºF).
December-March
Whale watching is a popular activity from December to March. The mighty humpback whale makes its migration passing through the Banderas Bay. Its playful behaviour is an amazing display of grace, power and beauty. Visit the whales with ecologoists and biologists who are involved with the research and protection of these magnificent animals.
The tropical charm and ideal weather of the Punta Mita and Puerto Vallarta area have long been a magnet for those seeking the perfect beach vacation in Mexico … or just a respite from colder climates.
