General information
Named by William Penn, an English Quaker and the founder of the city, Philadelphia is a Greek word meaning “City of Brotherly Love.” The city grew rapidly, becoming the second-largest English-speaking city in the world just before the American Revolution. Logan Circle, where Four Seasons is located, brings the style of Europe to the birthplace of America with a design inspired by Place de la Concorde in Paris. Nearby are some of the city’s historical landmarks and world-renowned Museum Row. With a population of some 5.8 million, Philadelphia is known for its diverse ethnic mix and warm hospitality.
