RESTORATIVE HOT STONE YOGA
This deeply relaxing, gentle form of yoga involves fully supported postures held for longer durations. Hot stones from the sacred Ayung River placed on the body during each pose let the heat penetrate the muscles. This melts away layers of physical and emotional tension, allowing you to fully relax and connect to the natural environment. Slow down and focus on breathing as you hold static poses, relaxing the nervous system while strengthening the immune, digestive and reproductive systems.
- 90 minutes IDR 1,100,000 for up to 2 people, private session only
Designed specifically to increase elasticity and mobility of connective tissues around joints – particularly knees, pelvis, sacrum, hips and lower spine – Yin Yoga is a slow, gentle practice suitable for all levels. It is recommended as a complement to more dynamic asana-based ‘yang’ practices that emphasize lengthening and contracting of muscles. In Yin Yoga, seated and supine poses are held for long durations, usually between 2 and 5 minutes each, to penetrate through muscles and reach the ligaments, tendons and fascia layers of the ‘yin’ tissues.
90 minutes, IDR 400,000 per person for group session (maximum 6 people)
IDR 900,000 for up to 2 people in a private session
(Available for non-resident guests at IDR 300,000 per person and private class IDR 900,000 up to 2 people)

Attune yourself to nature’s healing harmony, awaken your being to the earth’s infinite energy, and discover the power and presence of your own life force with our Dharma Shanti Yoga Bale, Yogis, and Resident Wellness Mentor.
The name ‘Dharma Shanti’ is directly connected to that understanding of the experiences at the heart of our lives. Drawing from the spirit of Buddhist philosophy, the concept of ‘dharma’ refers to the intrinsic nature of things, the path – sometimes referred to as your true purpose, while the word ‘shanti’ comes back to peace.
Unfurling from the tropical jungle foliage, the Dharma Shanti Yoga Bale is the centre of our uplifting programme of meditation, Life Talks and yoga, including Bali’s first experience of the highly therapeutic, gravity-defying AntiGravity® Yoga.
Designed to create, support and deepen the experience of all that enter, the lotus petal inspired structure – constructed entirely from sustainable local bamboo – is a soulful complement to the undulating curves, gently sloping terraces, and rich natural energy of the sacred Ayung River basin.
