- Bicycles are available for guest use, including mountain, sea and electric bikes.
- The Resort measures and tracks energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generation through the Four Seasons global utility management system.
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items are available.
- Linens and towels are replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested.
- Guest room controls, fixtures and building systems support optimizing energy and water consumption throughout the property.

- Single-use plastics, including water bottles, bathroom amenities and takeaway food packaging, have been removed or replaced with non-plastic alternatives.
- Drinking water is provided through two on-site water filtration and bottling plants.
- A recycling program is in place.
- Organic waste is diverted from landfill, including through on-site composting and the use of food waste as pig feed at Rancho Lola.
- The Resort maintains an on-site farm, Rancho Lola, that supplies fruit, vegetables, herbs, eggs, honey and other products for use in kitchen operations.
- Seafood is sourced locally in partnership with a fishing cooperative.
- Seasonal menu items are available, including ingredients sourced from local Mexican suppliers.
- The Resort serves cage-free eggs.
- A food waste reduction program is in place, including AI-enabled tools to identify, monitor and reduce food waste.
- The Resort is located within a nature reserve spanning 3,000 acres (1,214 hectares).
- Reflecting deep respect for the environment, only 2% of the reserve will be developed.
- At the Discovery Centre located within the Resort, researchers and biologists share their knowledge about the area, its biodiversity and the importance of preservation.
- Resident researchers and biologists guide guests on a morning hike through the reserve, where more than 70 endemic species of flora and fauna, three species of birds, 16 mammals, 11 amphibians and 30 reptiles all make their homes.
- Local artists and artisans are featured throughout the Resort and are supported through partnerships with philanthropic organizations Taller Maya and Ensemble Artesano, reflecting Mexico’s abundance of beautiful handcrafted fabrics, artwork and pre-Hispanic culture.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- The Resort supports Tamarindo International School (TAMIS), created by Tamarindo’s resident biologist to offer an educational haven for children of the Resort’s employees and the surrounding town of La Manzanilla, providing critical thinking, literacy and numeracy skills in addition to nature-preservation education to children.
