- The Resort is certified to Sustainable Seychelles, a third-party certification program for hospitality properties.
- A property-specific Sustainability Policy guides our efforts.
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available for guest use.
- The Resort measures and tracks energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generation through the Four Seasons global utility management system.
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items are available.
- Linens and towels are replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested.
- Guest room controls and building systems support optimizing energy consumption throughout the property, including through the recovery of waste heat from air conditioning units for hot water heating.
- Building systems and fixtures support optimizing water consumption throughout the property.
- Irrigation systems and landscaping are designed to optimize water use, including the use of an on-site wastewater recycling system that provides water for landscaping.
- Single-use plastics, including water bottles, bathroom amenities and takeaway food packaging, have been removed or replaced with non-plastic alternatives.
- Organic waste is diverted from landfill.
- Seasonal menu items are available, including ingredients sourced from local suppliers such as grouper, snapper and other seafood species.
- Much of our fruit, including mangoes, papayas, coconuts and starfruit, is harvested from trees on the property when seasonally available, while other fruit is sourced locally.
- The Resort serves cage-free eggs.
- A food waste reduction program is in place, including AI-enabled tools to identify, monitor and reduce food waste.
- Surplus food is donated to local farmers for use as pig feed.
- The Resort supports local biodiversity and conservation efforts, including guest participation in the Petite Anse Reef Restoration Project, which involves the installation of coral reef frames across 10,000 square metres (100,000 square feet) of limestone reef within the Resort's horseshoe bay.
- The Resort is engaged in periodic beach and public areas clean ups in collaboration with Red Cross and other projects with Anse Royale Primary School that are open to employees.
- Guests can participate in educational tours of local natural, cultural, historical and heritage sites, including day trips hosted by local partners and guided tours of the Resort’s grounds, formerly a fruit plantation, where guests learn about locally grown fruits and their uses in cooking, wellness and traditional practices.
- Linen, furniture and equipment are donated to employees, with surplus items donated to the local community through the Seychelles Red Cross Society.
- Local artists and artisans are featured throughout the Resort, including paintings from Michael Adams Studio and works from a variety of artisans during our weekly Creole night-themed buffet.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- Employees volunteer in the local community and support local charitable initiatives, including the Sustainable Seychelles Tourism Foundation, Seychelles Red Cross Society and Cancer Concern Association Seychelles, and participate in the Run for Hope, which raises awareness and funds for cancer research.
