Where to see autumn leaves in Osaka
Escape the city to discover the forested landscapes of Minoo Park, one of Osaka’s most renowned places for experiencing autumn foliage. Follow the scenic trail through the valley to the 33-metre (108-foot) Minoh Falls, framed by colourful leaves in late autumn. Be sure to look out for the area’s distinctive momiji tempura – maple leaves fried in a lightly sweetened batter.

Venture into the hills of Minoh to discover Katsuo-ji, a historic temple known for its thousands of red Daruma dolls and spectacular autumn foliage. From mid-November into early December, the surrounding mountains and temple grounds are transformed by shades of red and gold, with special illuminations after dusk offering a unique view of the autumn scenery.
