- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available for guest use.
- Bicycles are available for guest use.
- The Resort measures and tracks energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generation through the Four Seasons global utility management system.
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items are available.
- Linens and towels are replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested.
- Guest room controls and building systems support optimizing energy consumption throughout the property.
- LED lighting is in place throughout the Resort.
- Building systems and fixtures support optimizing water consumption throughout the property.
- Irrigation and landscaping are designed to optimize water use, including through an on-site wastewater recycling system that supplies water for landscaping.
- The Resort collaborates with EES-Energy Efficient Solutions Bali to reduce the energy consumption of our swimming pools.
- Single-use plastics, including water bottles, bathroom amenities and takeaway food packaging, have been removed or replaced with non-plastic alternatives.
- An off-site water filtration and bottling system reduces waste from water bottles.
- A recycling program is in place, including collaborations with local waste banks, where proceeds from the sale of recyclable materials are reinvested into modern waste management systems for schools, traditional markets and temples; the Resort also has an on-site pyrolysis machine that converts plastic waste into diesel fuel in collaboration with Get Plastic.
- Organic waste is diverted from landfill through collaboration with Tangkas Karya Mandiri, which facilitates off-site composting and the distribution of food waste to local farmers for use as animal feed.
- Used cooking oil is recycled into biodiesel through a collaboration with Lengis Hijau.
- Soaps and toiletries are recycled and donated to those in need through Bali WISE (R.O.L.E. Foundation).
- The Resort maintains an on-site garden that supplies herbs and produce for use in kitchen operations.
- The Resort offers an ocean-to-table experience where guests can fish with local fishermen and cook their fresh catch for lunch at Jala Cooking Academy.
- Cocktails and bartending workshops at TELU emphasize mindful ingredient selection.
- The Resort locally sources most ingredients, including seafood, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, coffee and tea.
- The Resort serves cage-free eggs.
- The Resort collaborates with Bali Honey Beekeepers to offer beehive adoption and on-site honey production.
- A food waste reduction program is in place, including AI-enabled tools to identify, monitor and reduce food waste.
- Surplus food is donated to Scholars of Sustenance (SOS), a local nonprofit dedicated to providing nutrition to those in need.
- The Resort supports biodiversity and conservation through participation in a a mangrove tree-planting program at Mangrove Arboretum Park, Bali, and coral planting in East Bali in collaboration with Coral Gardeners.
- The Resort uses a beach cleaning robot, Bebot, to remove waste from the beach, with collected waste further sorted and processed through the on-site Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
- Guests can visit the Role Foundation's Zero Waste to Ocean community education centre and participate in team-building activities, including composting, recycling, snail farming and tree planting to help fund educational programs for local children and marginalized women.
- Employees participate in river clean-up activities and other annual environmental clean-up events.
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
- The Resort offers on-site performances of traditional Balinese dance and music, showcasing local culture and supporting community-based artistic groups.
- Linen, furniture, equipment and medical supplies are donated to those in need through various charitable organizations such as Yayasan Senyum Bali and the Senang Hati Foundation.
- TELU supports local community initiatives through donations to the Bali Children Project, Coral Gardeners, and Sungai Watch, focusing on education, coral restoration, and river clean-up activities. Selected purchases at TELU and Sundara also contribute to planting three mangrove trees in collaboration with Mangrove Ranger.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- Cleaning products used at the property include products certified by Green Seal.
- The Resort’s design and procurement policies prioritize Balinese-made materials to support local craftspeople.
- Bathroom amenities, spa treatments and retail merchandise products at the resort boutique are mostly sourced from local suppliers.
