- The Resort is certified to EarthCheck Silver, a third-party certification program for hospitality properties
Bicycles are available for guest use. - The Resort measures and tracks energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generation through the Four Seasons global utility management system.
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items are available.
- Linens and towels are replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested.
- The Resort is certified to EarthCheck Silver, a third-party certification program for hospitality properties
- The Resort includes on-site solar generation infrastructure for pool heating.
- Irrigation systems and landscaping are designed to optimize water use.
- Single-use plastics, including water bottles, bathroom amenities and takeaway food packaging, have been removed or replaced with non-plastic alternatives.
- An on-site water filtration and bottling system reduces waste from water bottles.
- A recycling program is in place.
- Organic waste is diverted from landfill through on-site composting.
- The Resort maintains an on-site garden that supplies herbs and produce for use in kitchen, bar and spa operations, including basil, mint, lemongrass, butterfly pea flower, cofi leaves, chilli and breadfruit.
- Seasonal menu items are available, including ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
- The Resort serves cage-free eggs.
- A food waste reduction program is in place, including AI-enabled tools to identify, monitor, and reduce food waste.
- The Resort supports local biodiversity and conservation efforts through a collaboration with WiseOceans, including coral reef restoration, ecological monitoring and opportunities for guests to participate in educational and conservation-focused activities along Vietnam's Central Coast.
- The Resort's Young Guardians of the Earth program offers young guests opportunities to participate in hands-on gardening and composting activities and learn about food cultivation, organic waste management and local ecosystems.
- The Resort hosts periodic beach clean ups that are open to employees.
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community, including fishing with the locals, taking classes and workshops in regional Vietnamese cuisine, and exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site trifecta of Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Champa Sanctuary and the Imperial City of Hue's Citadel.
- Local artists and artisans are featured throughout the Resort, including photos from Rehahn, a renowned fine art photographer documenting the heritage of Vietnam.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- Employees volunteer in the local community and support local charities, including periodic needs-based donations of toys, blankets, stationery, books and food for children at the Quang Chau Pagoda.
- The retail boutique in The Spa features products that are mostly locally created and sourced.
