- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available for guest use.
- Bicycles are available for guest use.
- The Hotel measures and tracks energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generation through the Four Seasons global utility management system.
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items are available.
- Linens and towels are replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested.
- The Hotel supports renewable electricity procurement through the purchase of Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin certificates (REGOs) matching 100% of the Hotel’s annual electricity consumption.
- Two combined heat and power (CHP) plants on-site generate up to 60% of the electricity consumed in the Hotel and Spa, and contribute to satisfying our hot water and heating needs.
- Guest room controls and building systems support optimizing energy consumption throughout the property.
- Building systems and fixtures support optimizing water consumption throughout the property.
- Single-use plastics, including water bottles, bathroom amenities and takeaway food packaging, have been removed or replaced with non-plastic alternatives.
- A recycling program is in place.
- Organic waste is diverted from landfill, with waste picked up by a third party and converted to biogas and fertilizer at an external facility.
- Seasonal menu items are available, including ingredients sourced from local suppliers and fruit from the Hotel's orchard.
- The Hotel serves cage-free eggs.
- A food waste reduction program is in place, including AI-enabled tools to identify, monitor and reduce food waste.
- The Hotel supports local biodiversity and conservation efforts, including to "wild" the entire 500-acre estate to help preserve wildlife such as skylarks, owls, deer, badgers, hares, bees and wildflowers.
- Bug hotels strategically placed on estate fields to encourage bugs and other insects to live in their natural habitats.
- The Hotel hosts periodic community clean ups that are open to employees.
- Guests can engage in educational bird-watching experiences with qualified guides and off-site tours at heritage sites, including Stonehenge, Winchester and Salisbury cathedrals, and National Trust and Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) sites.
- Linen, furniture and equipment are donated to the local community through the British Red Cross and UK Youth.
- Local artists and artisans are featured throughout our Hotel, including works from Sculpture Park at Farnham and from the Minster Gallery in Winchester.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- Employees support charitable initiatives, including the Spa Members Ball and Cancer and Community Run.
- Spa products are primarily from England-based businesses.
- The Hotel prioritizes sourcing from suppliers that meet our environmental and social procurement criteria.
- Suppliers are encouraged to reduce unnecessary packaging.
