Getting to Lanai hide

Just a quick charter flight from Oahu, Lanai is Hawaii’s smallest, publicly accessible inhabited island in the chain. The island is also accessible from Maui via commercial plane or an approximate one-hour ferry ride from Maalaea Harbour.  Our idyllic Resort sits on the southeastern shore, overlooking Hulopoe Bay, and is just a 20-minute drive from Lanai City, a charming former plantation town with no stoplights and a friendly, laid-back vibe or five minutes from the harbour.

Lanai Air round-trip flights from Honolulu International Airport (HNL)  are included in all bookings with arrivals by December 31, 2026 (terms and conditions apply).

Shared arrival and departure, intra-island, and activity and golf shuttles are complimentary with all stays.

Lanai Air Flight times hide

Lanai Air services Honolulu International Airport with flights to/from HNL to LNY between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. Wait in comfort in a private hangar with amenities including wifi and refreshments. Please note, the hangar is a TSA-required screening checkpoint from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm daily.

Offer is valid for reservations with arrivals taking place by December 31, 2026. Terms and conditions apply.

Offer is valid for a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child (under 18 years of age) per Guest Room and Small Suite; or for 3 adults and 1 child or 2 adults and 2 children for Ohana, Penthouse and Specialty Suites, per stay (per room occupancy guidelines).

Transfer times are based on the charter’s schedule.

Reservations are based on availability and must be made at least seven days in advance.

Complimentary flight arrivals and departures must correspond with stay dates at Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort, or Four Seasons Resort Lanai. Flights outside of stay dates will be subject to an additional fee and standard rates will apply.

Resort Transfer Service hide

Complimentary, shared, luxury shuttle service is included with all reservations (excluding privately chartered flights, helicopters or boats). This includes arrival and departure transfers and shuttles around the island, as well as activity and golf shuttles to and from the Resort. Those booking an Ohana Suite or higher accommodation category will receive upgraded arrival and departure transfers in our private Tesla or Mercedes Sprinter Van. You will be greeted on arrival at the airport or harbour by a uniformed Resort representative. Luggage will be tagged and transported while you are escorted to your transfer vehicle, which will take you to the Resort.

For all island arrivals and departures, transportation services must be arranged with the resort at least 72 hours in advance.

Let our Lanai Experience Planners assist in booking a Jeep to explore our 90,000-acre island destination. Remember that only 30 miles (48 kilometres) of Lanai’s roads are paved, so for serious exploring, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is in order. Rates from USD 225 per 24-hour period.

Island Resort Shuttle hide

Visit the charming town of Lanai City, courtesy of our complimentary, luxury Resort shuttles. Shuttles run hourly from Lanai City and the Resort. Reservations are required; please call the Ambassador Desk (ext. 2390) or Bell Stand (ext. 2383) for a schedule and to reserve a seat.

Shuttles run hourly from Lanai City to the Resort between the hours of 9:00 am – 10:00 pm.

How do you get to Lanai?

Round-trip flights from Honolulu are included in all room bookings through December 31, 2026 on Lanai Air. From Maui, guests can travel via ferry or commercial air.  

Do you need to rent a car on Lanai?

Guests can rent a 4x4 jeep or book a guided cultural jeep tour to explore the island. An intra-resort shuttle provides complimentary transportation between properties as well as to Lanai City for local restaurants and shops.

What is there to do in Lanai City?

Lanai City is a charming former pineapple plantation town located 25 minutes from the Resort. With local shops, local galleries, delicious restaurants, a bowling alley and movie theatre, it is where the Hawaii found in vintage postcards comes to life. Guests can visit town on our complimentary daily resort shuttle.
