- The Resort is certified to Green Key International, a third-party certification program for hospitality properties.
- The Resort is certified to SOCOTEC Sustainability Management System for Hotels, a third-party certification program for hospitality properties.
- The Resort is certified to Pavillon Bleu (Blue Flag), a third-party certification program for beaches and marinas.
- The Resort measures and tracks energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generation through Four Seasons global utility management system.
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items are available.
- Linens and towels are replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested.
- The Resort includes on-site solar generation infrastructure that supplies electricity and hot water for operations.
- Building systems support optimizing energy consumption throughout the property.
- Irrigation systems are designed to optimize water use, including through the use of greywater and rainwater harvesting.
- Single-use plastics, including water bottles, bathroom amenities and takeaway food packaging, have been removed or replaced with non-plastic alternatives.
- An on-site water filtration and bottling system reduces waste from water bottles.
- The Resort maintains an on-site garden that supplies herbs and produce for use in kitchen operations.
- Seasonal menu items are available, including ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
- 90% of the fish served at the Resort is caught in the waters of Bora Bora by local fishers.
- The Resort serves cage-free eggs.
- A food waste reduction program is in place, including AI-enabled tools to identify, monitor and reduce food waste.
- The Resort supports local biodiversity and conservation efforts in collaboration with partner Coral Gardeners, including guest engagement in coral planting, which improves lagoon health and diversifies and regenerates marine fauna.
- Led by the Resort's marine biologists, the Lagoon Sanctuary is a research facility dedicated to preserving marine life through guest education, interaction and coral grafting.
- The Resort sponsors a Reef Check Foundation survey zone.
- A self-guided botanical tour is available to guests.
- Complimentary reef-friendly sun care products are available for guests.
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community through our Concierge, including a curated Heiva I Bora Bora Festival experience and in-house Tahitian Monoi oil and Polynesian shell necklace-making classes.
- Linen, furniture and equipment is donated to the local community through schools and Association Ia Vai Ma Noa Bora Bora, a non-profit dedicated to the economical, social and environmental development of the island-state.
- Excess edible food is donated to those in need through local charity Caddy du Coeur.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- Employees volunteer and support charitable organizations in the local community, including Annual Island Clean-Up Day, various schools, animal shelters and a centre for people with disabilities.
- The Resort organizes and supports events for cancer research through the Terry Fox Foundation and local association Amazones Pacific.
- The Resort prioritizes sourcing from suppliers that meet our environmental and social procurement criteria.
- The Resort's on-site boutique features artisanal products from local creators.
- Vegan and cruelty-free spa products are available.
