Denver couple Erin and Isiah Salazar knew they wanted to get married in the mountains. “We both love the pure and simple beauty of Vail,” says the bride, “and after we took a tour of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail we could not have imagined our wedding anywhere else.”
The Scene: The ceremony was held on the Vail Wedding Deck, just steps from the Eagle Bahn Gondola. The couple wanted to create a homey, earthy feel that reflected both their personalities and their surroundings. “I wanted the reception to be elegant,” recalls Erin, “but also to represent me and Isiah as being down to earth.”
Magical Moment: “When we walked into the Bighorn Ballroom for the first time, Isiah and I stood in the middle of the dance floor for our first dance,” Erin reminisces. “And it felt like it was just me and him in the ballroom. I will always remember that moment.”
The Bride and Groom: After their reception, Erin and Isiah spent two nights at Four Seasons Resort Vail, and then took off for the first part of their honeymoon at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, México. The newlyweds enjoyed a mini-moon in a private suite, spending their days relaxing on the beach. A few weeks later they flew to Europe and checked into Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, which, Erin says, “is in the perfect location to enjoy the Parisian culture.”
The Bride Wore: Erin chose a lace Monique Lhuillier wedding dress after falling in love with the back of the gown. “I loved the vintage look of it,” she adds.
A Personal Touch: The couple created a photo wall to capture fun pictures of their family and friends. Guests could have their picture taken against the empty frames and become a part of the family—on film, at least!
