Light the Night at Grain with Belvedere
The team at Grain is shaking things up this year in celebration of the Vivid Sydney festival. As the festival returns this year for its tenth anniversary, Grain has partnered with Belvedere with a Light the Night celebration throughout the entirety of the period.
The talented team at Grain have created four mesmerising cocktails inspired by the lights, colour and creativity of the festival, including a uniquely crafted transparent Bloody Mary featuring frozen cherry tomatoes that act as ice cubes. With a glowing fireplace and buzzing atmosphere, Grain is the perfect place to take respite from the walking and sightseeing.
Mode Kitchen & Bar’s Vivid three-course dinner and glowing dessert
As the world-famous Vivid festival returns to Sydney, Mode Kitchen & Bar will be showcasing their creativity with a special three-course Vivid menu for the first time.
Available throughout the entire Vivid festival period from Friday, May 25 until Saturday, June 16 from 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm for AUD 78 per person, the menu will feature a selection of Head Chef Francesco Mannelli’s favourite seasonal picks. From wood-baked Tomino radicchio to hearty Rangers Valley wagyu cheek, the comforting winter dishes each exude the flair and passion that is synonymous with Mode. Completing the experience is a grand finale dish that is set to ignite all senses –Mannelli’s custom made ‘glow’ Pavlova.
As an added special, free parking will be available for all guests enjoying the special menu between Monday and Thursday.

Witness the Sydney Opera House sails come to life each evening, awash with a colourful show of brilliant, projected patterns and artworks, synchronised to dramatic music to set the scene.
This year’s show dubbed ‘Audio Creatures’ presents a mesmerizing visual display of sea creatures, bird plumage and lustrous plant life, created by Sydney artist Ash Bolland and music by composer Amon Tobin.

Experience the magic of Sydney’s Taronga Zoo at night during Vivid, as the zoo illuminates giant animal sculptures.
This year’s event will be fully interactive and immersive as visitors become a light in the wild with state-of-the-art wristbands. Meet a Sumatran Tiger, Marine Turtle, swarm of bees and a giant Port Jackson Shark among other bright creatures as you journey around the Taronga Zoo grounds against a backdrop of extraordinary colours and lights across Sydney Harbour.

The Royal Botanic Garden will be transported into a world of fantasy during the Vivid festival, with giant electric flowers, partying parrots and an illuminated forest of spiralling trees. Follow the pathway to discover a magnificent nocturnal environment, created by artists and inspired by the natural wonders of our world.
Wander through the Nautilus Forest and dodge spiral-like creations, discover The Bloom, a giant electric flower and don’t forget to ride the waves on the He’e Nalu, a surfing installation that allows riders to experience the joyous sensation of riding a wave. End this magical journey at the Aqueous, an interactive and intriguing pathway of light that is guaranteed to wow you.
