Overview

El Yunque National Rainforest is a landmark not to miss when you visit Puerto Rico. Walk through the only rainforest within the US Forest Service system as our expert guides tell you all about the wonders of the forest. Admire the spectacular views, connect with nature and visit must-see sites, including El Portal, La Coca Waterfall, Yokahú Tower, Caimitillo, El Yunque trail or Palma Sierra picnic area.

Things To Know

: Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on this tour.
Guests with severe mobility limitations may not be accommodated due to terrain; however, private experiences may be customized upon request and subject to availability.
For safety reasons, pregnant women are advised not to participate due to uneven surfaces and increased risk of slipping.
The departure point is Luquillo, about 30 minutes away from the Resort.
All reservations are subject to availability. Ideally, bookings should be made at least 48 hours in advance, and 7 days prior during high season. Requests outside of this time frame will be honoured based on availability.
Tour timings are subject to availability and may vary based on the selected date.
: Transportation
Bilingual tour guide (English and Spanish). Additional translators available upon request, subject to availability and extra cost.
: Closed-toe shoes with strong traction, preferably hiking shoes or all-terrain sneakers
Light clothing recommended; swimwear underneath optional for those who wish to enter the water
A change of clothes for the return to the Resort suggested
Sunscreen and mosquito repellent
: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
Rescheduling may be requested with at least 24 hours' notice and will incur a USD 25 per person rebooking fee. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
No-shows and late arrivals are non-refundable.
If cancellation is required on our end due to adverse weather or mechanical issues, guests may choose a 100% refund or to reschedule. We will notify you as early as possible, though in some cases, this decision may be made on the same day due to unpredictable conditions.
Tours are not cancelled due to rain but may be cancelled in the event of adverse conditions that pose a safety risk to guests and staff.
The National Park Service, administrator of El Yunque Rainforest, reserves the right to close forest access at any time without prior notice.
