Overview

With only five bioluminescent bays in the world, you'll want to experience this exclusive natural light show during your visit to Puerto Rico. Located on the island's eastern coast, Laguna Grande in Fajardo is the most-visited bio bay in the region – one of three found in Puerto Rico. Take a two-hour guided night tour for an immersive journey into the glowing waters, where you'll learn about Pyrodinium bahamense, the microscopic plankton that emit natural light. Each paddle stroke reveals a luminous swirl of blue, while fish shimmer beneath the surface like shooting stars.

Things To Know

: Must be able to kayak for two hours.
Must be at least 6 years of age. Ages 6 to 13 must share a kayak with an adult; ages 14 to 17 require adult participation.
Weight limit: 225 pounds per person; 450 poounds per kayak. Pairing that exceeds limits is not allowed.
Not suitable for pregnant individuals or guests with recent surgeries, injuries, epilepsy, heart conditions or dizziness.
Tour takes place in a dark lagoon; not recommended for those prone to panic attacks.
Mosquitoes may be present; plan accordingly if allergic.

Transporation may be booked in addition: USD 475 for up to 5 people, USD 625 for up to 12 people.
The bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon, and its intensity (brightness) is unpredictable and may vary from one day to another. We cannot guarantee visibility.

: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
Rescheduling may be requested with at least 24 hours' notice and will incur a USD 25 per person rebooking fee. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
No-shows and late arrivals are non-refundable.
If cancellation is required on our end due to adverse weather or mechanical issues, guests may choose a 100% refund or to reschedule. We will notify you as early as possible, but in some cases this decision may be made on the same day due to unpredictable conditions.
Tours are not cancelled due to rain, but may be cancelled in the event of adverse conditions that pose a safety risk to guests and staff.
