The good life just got better. The largest guest rooms on Maui have been re-imagined to offer all the amenities of a modern personal sanctuary while honoring the beauty and magic of the Wailea coastline. The thoughtful design features flexible options for relaxing, dining, and working in rooms that use sophisticated simplicity as the hallmark of luxury.
The inspired design incorporates art, textures, and patterns to create a comfortable retreat. Bedside lamps are wall mounted freeing up space; personal reading lights are integrated into headboard; digital tablets are docked on the night stand; outlets are easily accessible. The centerpiece of every room, the exclusive Four Seasons bed, offers all the benefits of a fully customizable sleep experience. The mattress is designed with temperature regulation technology and three unique topper options for the ultimate in personally selected comfort, and the most luxurious linens and an extensive pillow menu ensure you are on cloud nine.
Form follows function in the space, which focuses on human-centered design. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to interact with the guest experience. Our large rooms became larger, as nonessential bulky furniture was replaced with sleek design elements. A 65-inch ultra high definition LED television is mounted on the entertainment wall. A table interacts with the shelving unit to create more room, and is perfect for dining or as a work station. Luxuriant leather chairs are beautiful but lightweight for maximum flexibility.
The placement of the furniture, patterns in the textiles, and colors of the artwork build upon each other to create a personal sanctuary. A full-size sectional sofa, which pulls out into a queen-size bed, allows for comfortable sleeping for a family of up to two adults and two children. A splash of color on the accent pillows and carefully curated Hawaiian artwork animates the space, enhancing the sense of place in the guest's very well-appointed home away from home.
With the new rooms comes the advent of the Four Seasons "My Bar" concept, allowing for customizable options. Equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, the guest's day starts with the ultimate cup of coffee or espresso. High end teas and hot chocolate are available for non-coffee drinkers. The area is refreshed by room attendants twice daily who stock bottled water, a variety of glassware, and thoughtful extras to top off this important element of the guest room.
The island's most spacious resort bathrooms have been transformed with sophisticated and thoughtful touches. New lighting brightens the contemporary oasis, and a teak dresser has been integrated into the nook area, freeing up space in the main room and smartly holding the guest's garments in the most convenient place for changing. A large soaking tub, exclusive bath amenities, and soft yukata robes await guests to wrap themselves in rejuvenation after a long day of travel or Maui adventure.
The Resort's professional fine art curator, Julie Cline, has introduced new contemporary art pieces throughout the guest rooms to strengthen the Resort's famed collection. Pieces have been hand selected to feature artists from around the world, including those living, working, or that studied in Hawaii since statehood in 1959, who display an edgy or fresh perspective. The carefully chosen artwork celebrates the destination, lending interest in the room and enhancing the residential ambiance.
