A pool and spa that reflect tranquillity <\/strong><\/h2>\n

At Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya<\/a>, the design for the pool, spa and fitness section was driven by the theme of peacefulness mixed with a specific sense of place. The glowing lanterns create a warm reflection in the pool (recently named the best indoor swimming pool in the Middle East by Prix Villageiture<\/em>), and archways and alcoves create semiprivate, intimate lounging areas for guests.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fitness areas emphasize light, air and volume,\u201d says Didier Jardin, General Manager at the Hotel. \u201cIn spas, dimmer lighting and quiet spaces are really conducive to relaxation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The grotto oasis aspect of this design by Yabu Pushelberg evokes a calming and inviting aura. \u201cThe Hotel was designed with a refined, well-travelled and culturally informed guest in mind and has a distinct connection to place in its design elements,\u201d says co-founder Glenn Pushelberg.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Will Meyer, of design company Meyer Davis, says, \u201cWe asked ourselves if this idea of basing the design on the character of Margot Tenenbaum in The Royal Tenenbaums was crazy, and I said, \u2018I think it\u2019s so crazy that it\u2019s the best idea I\u2019ve ever heard.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
