Nothing bonds you to another person quite like experiencing the thrill of adventure together. In Hawaii, the ultimate escapade is the Earth, Wind & Fire helicopter tour offered by Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina. Prepare for sensory overload to set in as you and your loved one fly past the verdant cliffs of Molokai, the green – yes, green – sand beaches of Papakolea, the Hamakua Coast’s misty waterfalls and even erupting volcanoes. “Each of the Hawaiian islands is so different from the next, so beautiful in its own way,” says Concierge Manager Ricarda Schellenberg. “This experience delivers all of the magical landscapes Hawai’i has to offer.”
Schellenberg continues: “When you land at the Hawaii Legacy Forest on Big Island, you walk through waist-high grass and get your hands into the rich, black volcanic soil to replant a native Koa tree, giving back to the ’aina. Afterward, the awe of seeing the landscape from above becomes very real.” You’ll return to the Resort at sunset, just in time for a glass of Champagne to toast the memories you’ve just made.

What could be better than stargazing together? Stargazing from a private, volcanic-stone whirlpool in the heart of the Caribbean. When couples book Spa Under the Stars at Four Seasons Resort Nevis, they’ll have the entire Spa to themselves – including a Japanese-inspired plunge pool, steam rooms and a tropical garden as a frame for the cosmos above. The experience includes a Nevisian massage, which begins with a scrub – made from local brown sugar, cinnamon, coconut and nutmeg – and your choice of wine. You can add a candlelit dinner afterwards.
“Spa Under the Stars is inherently romantic, but I love when a guest goes the extra mile to make it a surprise for their partner,” says Spa Assistant Manager Asheena Farrell. “Having a reason behind the celebration of love, like a birthday or an anniversary, makes the experience even more special. And if you happen to be on property during a full moon night, there’s just nothing like it.” Couples should also make sure to tour the ruins of the Hamilton Estate, once owned by the family of Nevis-born U.S. Founding Father Alexander Hamilton – as in Broadway’s hit show Hamilton.

When Grace Kelly and Cary Grant whirred along the cinematic coasts of the French Riviera in the 1955 Hitchcock movie To Catch a Thief, they couldn’t have guessed they’d be sparking date envy in viewers for generations to come. Thankfully, Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel, has partnered with luxury rental car company Joey Rent to allow guests to recreate the scene. You’ll drive your choice of classic car – be it a Maserati GranTurismo, Rolls Royce Wraith or Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider – along cliffside roads overlooking the glimmering Mediterranean.
“The French Riviera is endlessly romantic,” says Chief Concierge Christiane Grun, “from the coastal roads offering spectacular sea views to the small Provençal perched villages with their charming narrow streets – not to mention the rich colours that have inspired so many artists.” Stop in the hamlet of Villefranche for a harbourside fresh-squeezed lemonade before heading toward Grimaldi Castle, onetime home of Monaco’s royal family.

It’s hard to know the true magic of a candlelit meal until you’ve experienced one on a pristine white sand shore underneath the moonlight. Four Seasons Resort Seychelles takes the whole thing a step further by arranging dinner on Petite Anse Beach, ringed by flourishing coral reefs that Hawksbill sea turtles call home. Order grilled Angus Beef tenderloin, cooked tableside, or roasted lobster stuffed with truffle mashed potatoes. If you can pry your eyes from your date, you might spot fruit bats flying high overhead and hermit crabs meandering along the shore.
“Arrive around 6:30 pm, just in time for sunset and a glass of Champagne,” says Executive Chef Elie Fischmann, who’s careful to note that the sun drops directly in front of the bay. “We can also work with couples to develop their own perfect menu, so the experience becomes really personal.” Food for thought: Consider recreating dishes from your first dinner date – albeit in an entirely more magical locale.

Flowers have symbolized flourishing love for centuries. As such, they play an integral role in the two-hour Royal Lanna Signature treatment at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai. Couples are first rubbed down with a full body scrub made of seven sacred blooms. “Believed to have purifying and hydrating qualities, the scrub most notably uses Princess Dara Rasami’s Rose, grown exclusively for Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai in honour of the Princess,” says Wellness Manager Dheeraj Patwal.
Once your skin is rejuvenated, you’ll both be massaged head to toe using acupressure techniques. The treatment concludes with a half-hour mini facial “befitting royal couples,” Patwal says. It’s all a euphoric prelude to an afternoon spent sailing the Mekong on the Resort’s ultra-luxe thatch-roofed riverboat.

Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra stayed (separately) in the legendary Surf Club, reborn as Four Seasons Hotel The Surf Club, but they might not recognize it today. While every ounce of iconic glamour remains, the property now includes an outpost of Le Sirenuse restaurant, a nod to the cliff-side grande dame of Positano, Italy, so beloved in cultural consciousness that even John Steinbeck immortalized it: “It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there,” he wrote during a 1953 stay, “and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.” His description now applies to The Surf Club.
Among the attractive choices for couples are a Turkish hammam and a Champagne bar with the largest selection of bubbly in Miami, but sometimes the most memorable moments come about before the city wakes. “Watch the captivating sunrise from over your oceanfront balcony,” says Guest Relations Manager Mark Warren. “We’ll bring freshly brewed coffee and made-to-order breakfast straight to your room.”

If your definition of a dream date is an Indiana Jones–worthy exploit, look no further than Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogotá. The Hotel’s Sierra Nevada day trip would satisfy any adventure seeker: You’ll board a private jet for the village of Santa Marta some 45 minutes away, and then hop on a helicopter to soar over Colombia’s lush Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains, where the indigenous Kogi community has lived for centuries.
Explore the thatch-roofed Mulkuakungui Village and connect with Kogi locals, learning rituals and even being gifted with a handwoven pique backpack. Lovebirds can keep an eye out for blue-bearded helmet crests, one of the 28 endemic avian species in the region. (Colombia has the most diverse bird population worldwide, with 1,921 different species compared to 697 in Canada.) As you fly out, take note of the circular terraces of Ciudad Perdida, or Lost City, which the Kogis built in AD 800.
Back on terra firma at the Hotel, continue your cultural exploration at nearby Museo del Oro, or Gold Museum, surrounded by more than 55,000 artefacts, such as gold totems from ancient shaman ceremonies, gold masks and, of course, jewellery as priceless as your love.
