Lanai Archery and Shooting Range
The 14-station course in the wooded uplands challenges shooters of all skill levels regardless of age, size or experience level. The introductory private lesson covers gun safety and awareness, course rules & shooting etiquette, instruction and all necessary equipment. With each station offering sporting clays launched to simulate flight patterns of duck, quail, dove, pheasant and even running rabbit patterns, this course offers endless challenge and entertainment. Set your sight on 3D animal targets such as turkey, deer, T-Rex, ram or boars or take aim at traditional archery targets, from 5 to 25 yards away at the archery course. A private introductory lesson covers bow & arrow safety and etiquette, instruction and the necessary equipment for a ‘bullseye’ of a time. Anyone who can safely handle a bow, regardless of age, size or experience level, is welcome to try their hand at the archery course.
4X4 OFF-ROADING EXCURSION
Polihua Beach and Shipwreck Beach
With only 30 miles (48 kilometres) of paved road, the island of Lanai is well suited to off-roading. Explore miles and miles of the island's rugged terrain while taking in the scenery of the Munro Trail, Garden of the Gods, Polihua Beach and Shipwreck Beach. Take along a Four Seasons picnic for a private, unforgettable experience at the location of your choice. Jeep and Hummer rentals and guided tours are offered, satisfying all levels of adventurer.
Enjoy the solitude of Lanai as you begin your hike through the forested hills and valleys of the Koele highlands. Rare Hawaiian trees, once purposefully planted in the cool valleys, are today vital to the collection of water on Lanai. The forest eventually gives way to open vistas and steep ravines, exposing the ridge of Koloiki with its spectacular views of neighbouring islands.
Walk to the end of Hulopo'e Bay Beach, where you can enjoy the tide pools filled with such marine life as sea cucumbers, spaghetti worms and sea stars. For a view of Sweetheart Rock, take a stroll along the cliff-side path.
