WinterFest highlights the best of winter in Jackson Hole with two weeks of snowy fun. The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce presents the 7th Annual Jackson Hole WinterFest. Jackson's Wild West Spirit comes alive during WinterFest and the events offer fun for the whole family! Visitors and local residents will enjoy the festival along with traditional winter happenings including downhill and Nordic skiing, sledding, sleigh rides at the National Elk Refuge and more! Led by our dedicated naturalist team, experience customized, four-hour expeditions in Grand Teton National Park, the Bridger Teton National Forest and the National Elk Refuge. Guests travel in a luxury SUV equipped with high-end optics and gourmet provisions prepared by the Resort’s chefs.
Wildlife adventures give you the opportunity to safely and comfortably view magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, beyond the highways and in remote areas. Along the way, you will learn about the flora and fauna, geology and history of this significant ecosystem, and have the opportunity to view elk, moose, mule deer, bison, bears, wolves, bighorn sheep, bald eagles, river otters, trumpeter swans, owls and other rare birds. Our fantastic guides will customize the route based on your specific interests and recent wildlife sightings.
Teton Village is excited to be opening an ice skating rink on the Village Commons for this winter season in partnership with the Grand Teton Skating Academy. The rink will be open to the public daily beginning mid-December, and skating on the rink will be free. Skate rentals will be available in a warming hut next to the rink. The great big snow castle will also be available on the commons, sure to be a kids favorite! Ice Skating is also available on the Town Square.
Yellowstone National Park's beauty and wildlife can be seen in the winter, too! Snowcoach tours offer a warmer, more social and relaxing alternative to snowmobiling for you and your group. Snowcoach tours also offer guided interpretations of the wildlife, history, and geological features our the world's first national park.
Visit the Jackson Hole Farmers Market on Town Square each Saturday during the summer from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. The first market of the year always takes place on the Saturday following July 4, and runs through the third Saturday of September. There is a great variety of vendors participating and selling fresh produce, herbs, fresh-baked breads, homemade pies, homebaked goods, locally raised beef, cheese, honey, flowers and much more. In addition to shopping for farm-fresh produce and homebaked goods, come down to the market and enjoy great live music performed by local musicians. Every week a Jackson Hole restaurant is highlighted at our Chef of the Week booth. The chefs graciously prepare and donate a sampling from their restaurant menus.
Concert On The Commons
Teton Village Association, with support from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, present seven concerts every Sunday at 5:00 pm starting July through August. Food and drink will be provided by The Handle Bar. Teton Village shops will be open: you can buy food and drink and bring it to the concert as well. All events will take place whether rain or shine. Summer Teton Village storms pass though quickly, so bring a light jacket, your smiles and your friends, and get ready for a great evening! Grand Teton National Park Ranger-Led Programs
A variety of ranger-led activities take place throughout the park during the summer season. Summer programs begin in early June and last through Labor Day weekend. Join a ranger to learn about the wild communities, history and geology of the park. Districts also offer special programs throughout the summer. Check at a visitor center for upcoming special programs. Summer programs are grouped by park district. Grand Teton Music Festival
The Grand Teton Music Festival has celebrated the awe-inspiring community of Jackson Hole with exhilarating music since 1962. At the core of this celebration is our seven-week classical music festival held each summer. Prestigious soloists and musicians from renowned orchestras flock to stunning Jackson Hole to renew their artistic inspiration and share their talents and passion with the local community. Since 2006, internationally acclaimed Maestro Donald Runnicles has led our festival as the Music Director and helped our orchestra reach new heights.
Fall Arts Festival
The Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival is widely recognized as one of the premier cultural events in the Rocky Mountain West. Thousands of art enthusiasts are drawn each year to experience the diverse artwork and breathtaking natural surroundings that make Jackson Hole a leading cultural centre. Visitors will appreciate the works of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists, along with an exceptional array of events featuring music, cuisine and wine. More than 50 events round out our eleven-day festival, which takes place September 8 – 18, 2016.
Horseback Riding Camp
Camp TOA is located on a beautiful 100% solar geothermal powered ranch in Tetonia Idaho. In front of the ranch are all day views of the majestic Teton Mountains. Behind the ranch is the Bighole range; our horse day-ride playground. Overnight camps and retreats are open for kids of all ages. Participants will develop skills in leadership, team building, courage and trust. They will connect to themselves and nature through the careful guidance of working with horses in a safe and educational way.
