Things To Know
- Guests must be an intermediate to advanced ski or snowboard level and have previous powder skiing experience, be in excellent physical and mental condition, have terrain knowledge and be able to do parallel turns.
- If you've never powder skied before, heli-skiing is not receommended for your first attempt.
- Guests must be ages 13 or over.
- No beginners are allowed.
- Guests must have their own snowboard or ski boots. Rentals are not available at the shop.
- There are two meeting locations for this tour, that will be decided the evening prior by your guide: Snake River Sporting Club Pro Shop (14885 Sporting Clb Rd, Jackson, WY 83001) or Bronze Buffalo Ranch Pro Shop (10 Warm Creek Lane, 5 Headquarters Dr, Victor, ID 83455). The vendor will confirm the evening prior about which of the two meeting locations you will be meeting at.
- If time allows, extra runs may be purchased for USD 175 per person per run.
- Gratuity is not included in the cost and it is advised to tip your guide 20% at the end of your trip.
- Stick to your regular boots, ensuring they're broken in before the heli trip. Avoid overly stiff or soft boots and steer clear of step-ins to prevent powder clogging and binding issues.
- Choose waterproof, breathable materials like Gore-Tex for optimal performance. Layer your clothing to adapt to changing temperatures.
- Choose reliable gear that won't break down or cause discomfort during your heli trip. Avoid using new or outdated gear that could fail or lead to discomfort.
- Opt for a suitable board, such as a long powder gun or a shorter, more maneuverable fish-style board for better flotation and versatility, especially in tight tress.
- Avoid step-in bindings due to potential clogging. Opt for freestyle or freeride bindings and bring spare parts like ratchets, ladders and straps if available.
- Transportation is not included but can be arranged through the Concierge.
- Expert guides have received extensive training in Outdoor Emergency Care, certified by the National Ski Patrol, as well as CPR, avalanche hazard forecasting and mountain rescue techniques.
- Waterbottle and extra snacks if desired.
- Extra base layers and a spare puffy coat.
- Waterproof gloves, a protective buff for your face and a helmet
- Chapstick and sunblock
- Lunch and water. Vegetarian and gluten allergies can be accommodated for.

- Any guest cancellation or weather-related flight cancellation from High Mountain Heli will result in your deposit of (USD 500 per person per day), becoming a credit for two seasons.
- Any cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance of a reserved day will lose the full amount of the day (USD 1,900 per day per person). No credit will be issued in the event of a no show.
- If High Mountain Heli is unable to deliver a reserved day due to weather, etc., they will try to roll your reservation over to the next available day during your trip.
