Fly Fishing – Half Day 18' Clackamax Drift Boat

Whether it's your family's first time on the river or another fly-fishing adventure to add to your collection, our expert Jackson Hole fishing guides create an unforgettable experience. Our guides specialize in guiding anglers of all skill levels and ages, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable outing for everyone. Some of our most memorable days are spent introducing our youngest guests to the sport on family-friendly fly-fishing excursions in Jackson Hole.

Things To Know

: No experience required. Suitable for beginner, intermediate or advanced anglers.
Maximum weight is 750 lbs for 5-person boats.
: Morning pick-up time from the Resort varies due to temperature, but is typically between 7:30 am and 9:00 am. Afternoon experiences may be available, please enquire with the Concierge.
The experience takes place in a standard classic-style 16' fishing drift boat, which is easy to maneuver into small side channels and natural spring creeks home to large cutthroat, rainbow and brown trout.
2 guests per boat; up to 8 boats are available, accommodating a maximum of 16 guests. Please enquire with our Concierge for parties larger than 16.
The experience takes place in different locations based on the best conditions. Possible locations include:
Snake River, June 8 – October 31 (10-minute drive from Resort)
Green River, May 1 – July 31 (1.3-hour drive from Resort)
Lewis Lake, May 27 – July 1 (1.3-hour drive from Resort)
Salt River, June 25 – September 30 (45-minute drive from Resort)
If your trip is in May or June, please wait to purchase a fishing license until we confirm which body of water is best. If your trip is during July – October, you can purchase your license online; please contact our Concierge for more information.
There is an 18% additional gratuity.
: Transportation
Fishing gear, including spin fishing gear
Waders, boots, puffy coats and rain jackets are offered during the colder months.
A cooler stocked with water and snacks is provided. Snacks typically include beef jerky, chips, and crackers or cookies for children. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or arrange a box lunch through our Concierge.
Price does not include gratuity. An additional 18 pecent automatic gratuity will be charged.
Price does not include USD 14 fishing license. Children 14 and younger with a licensed adult do not need a license.
: Sunglasses (important to protect the eyes from the sun and any errant hooks)
Hat
Long sleeve sun shirt and long pants
Water shoes or gym shoes
Sunscreen and lip balm with SPF
Box lunch, if desired
: For groups of 3 or more, cancellations must be made at least a month in advance. For groups of 1 or 2, cancellations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
