Ka`upulehu Cultural Center

Adjacent to The Club Shop in the golf clubhouse, the Resort's own Ka`upulehu Cultural Center offers groups the opportunity to understand Hawaiian values, practices, heritage and tradition through fun, authentic and interactive learning experiences. Self-guided trail walks bring guests face-to-face with the historic and natural resources of the Resort. Exhibits and participatory classes at the center enable guests to further understand the culture of historic Ka‘upulehu.

The Kona-Kohala coast of the Big Island of Hawaii is the sunniest, driest and warmest of the islands in the Hawaiian archipelago.

The Resort's approximate 37,034 square feet (3,441 square meters) of highly adaptable spaces, indoors and out, are at one with the idyllic landscape. Five salons offer 8,390 square feet (779 square meters) of air-conditioned elegance indoors. Red Hot Lu’au

Experience our “Farm-to-Table” philosophy with a menu featuring fresh foods grown and harvested on Hawai’i Island, from Kalua Pig roasted in an imu (underground oven) to grilled Island fish. Guests enter the Red Hot Lu’au across an illuminated bed of “hot lava and listen to the story of Ka’upulehu told through mo’olelo (stories), mele (song) and a hula show.

Coffee Farm Tour and Tasting

Kona and the surrounding areas continue to grow and roast award-winning and internationally recognized coffee. Join a private tour of a nearby boutique coffee farm, known for its quality and artisanal methods. Walk through the coffee-growing process with the farm proprieter – from harvesting and drying the beans to preparing them for roasting. After the tour, return to the Resort and sample some of the best coffees grown on Hawaii Island, guided by an on-site expert. The tasting features four types of Hawaii Island coffee, brewed tableside, and served with pastries crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Kalani Garcia.

A great team-builder for incentive groups

Gnocchi-Making Classes

In this interactive class with Executive Chef Thomas Bellec, groups learn to make gnocchi pasta in the terrace at the Beach Tree Restaurant overlooking the beach, which he converts into a "kitchen with a view."

Mixology Competition

Challenge your group to put their bartending skills to the test. A variety of tropical ingredients will be provided, and small groups of attendees will compete to see who comes up with the most creative, delicious, or aesthetically pleasing cocktail. After the competition the group will have time to enjoy their creations and socialize.

Poke Bowl Reception

It is hard to find fish fresher than what is served at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. Enjoy this “ocean to table” harvest reception with your group, where each member can create their own custom poke bowl. The ahi will come freshly cut along with a variety of traditional ingredients such as freshly harvested sea salt, limu, roasted kukui nut (inamona), shoyu (soy sauce) and more. This reception is fun, interactive, and tasty!
